Sustainability at the Heart

Sustainability isn’t a side project — it’s the essence of how we grow. Rooted in faith, guided by values, and driven by our responsibility as Stewards of the Earth, we are devoted to nourishing both humanity and the planet that sustains us.

From renewable energy and waste-to-value innovation to smallholder empowerment, every Nourish initiative strengthens a circular, resilient, and inclusive agrifood system — one that uplifts people, places, and the planet alike.

Turning Every By-Product into Purpose

Nourish is at the forefront of developing Bangladesh’s comprehensive circular agrifood model, striving to minimize waste at every stage. Our R&D efforts focus on creating scalable solutions that convert today’s challenges into tomorrow’s sustainability breakthroughs.

Key Focus Areas
  • Renewable Energy Integration: Solar installations across our feed mills and farms supplement the national grid, ensuring cleaner backup power, lower emissions, and greater energy security in rural communities.
  • Bio-Fertilizers & Nutrient Recycling: Organic residues are being developed into nutrient-rich bio-fertilizers that restore soil vitality and return natural balance to the land.
  • Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Projects: Poultry by-products are being upcycled into high-value insect protein and natural oils — offering sustainable feed alternatives that reduce dependence on imported soy and fishmeal.

At Nourish, waste becomes wealth — a resource that fuels the next cycle of life.

Carbon & Water Footprint Reduction

Efficiency that Reduces Impact

At Nourish, we believe sustainability begins with efficiency. True climate action comes not only from offsets, but from optimizing every process to achieve measurable impact.

That’s why we continuously invest in smarter operations, resilient systems, and resource-conscious innovation.

  • Peak Efficiency: Constant improvements in feed conversion ratios and production planning help us produce more output with fewer inputs.
  • Resource Optimization: Smart irrigation, energy-efficient machinery, and controlled-environment housing drastically cut water and power use.
  • Climate Responsibility: We monitor greenhouse-gas intensity across our value chain, aligning with the Paris Agreement and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Every ton of feed, every liter of water, every joule of energy — accounted for, optimized, and respected.

People

Smallholder Empowerment

People

Feeding the Nation by Uplifting Its People

At Nourish, our mission goes beyond food — it’s about empowering the people who make nourishment possible. By 2028, over 50,000 individuals will be directly engaged in the Nourish value chain, with at least one in three being women.

Our Commitments
  • Inclusive Employment: Creating dignified jobs and entrepreneurial pathways across farming, logistics, processing, and retail — ensuring growth for all.
  • Capacity Building: Providing training in animal health, farm management, and financial literacy — equipping rural youth and women with the skills to thrive.
  • Farmer’s First Partnerships: Standing with smallholder farmers through Farmer’s First, our operating philosophy of risk-free contract farming, transparent pricing, and shared prosperity. From the first two farms in Bhaluka, Mymensingh in 2008 to a national network of partnerships today.
Standing With Women Smallholders

In partnership with the World’s Poultry Science Association Bangladesh Branch (WPSA-BB) and Paragon, Nourish supports 300 women-led smallholder farms across six districts of Bangladesh through a structured three-year programme. Risk-free pricing, structured training, and a 25-point biosecurity standard tied directly to farmer income, making compliance commercially rational rather than merely advisable.

“The farmer should never be a loser.”

Animal Welfare & Ethics

Integrity Begins with Compassion

At Nourish, we believe that compassion and quality go hand in hand. Ethical treatment of animals isn’t just a moral duty — it’s central to food safety, spiritual integrity, and long-term sustainability.

Our Commitments
  • Safe & Humane Practices: Every stage — from housing to handling and slaughter — follows strict animal-welfare standards that ensure safety, comfort, and dignity.
  • Health & Biosecurity: Comprehensive vaccination, ventilation, and hygiene systems safeguard animal well-being and protect the people who work with them.
  • Safe, Antibiotic-Free Protein: We don't use antibiotic growth promoters anywhere in our Integration network. Safe protein isn't an optional extra for us, it's our baseline.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Regular third-party inspections and certifications keep us aligned with global best practices in animal welfare.

Every creature under our care is a trust — a niʿmah to be guarded with dignity.
